GREENVILLE — The Greenville Department of Public Safety has located the parents of a child who was found early Wednesday afternoon, according to Sgt. Gary Valentine.
A 5-year-old boy was found wandering in the streets.
The automated A Child Is Missing reverse telephone call system released a message about the boy.
Police found him at 1:45 p.m. at Lafayette and State streets near the Carquest auto parts store. He only knew that his first and middle names are Jacob Daniel but he isn’t sure what his last name is.
“He has been released to his parents,” Valentine said.
Jacob was found wearing blue pajama bottoms and a red T-shirt with a football on the front and the number 15 on the back.
The Greenville Department of Public Safety spent the afternoon trying to locate the parents.
