Stanton City Commissioners sworn in

Krista King and Karl Yoder were sworn in Thursday as members of the Stanton City Commission. Don Smucker also was re-elected Tuesday, but he was out of town and could not attend Thursday’s meeting.

A newcomer received the most votes Tuesday in the Stanton City Commission election. Karl Yoder was elected to the board with 88 votes, or 24 percent of the vote. He will replace Bonnie Timiney, who didn’t run for re-election.
