LETTER: Greenville should focus on youth

By Daily News • Last Updated 1:02 pm on Monday, November 28, 2011

Dear Editor,
This letter is agreeable with Kenneth Stoll.
It’s pitiful that Greenville schools can get brand new football fields, have the big festivals and can’t have yard sale signs out for fear of letting their town look trashy.
On a recent front page, Greenville students look at last year’s solar panels. This gave the school $65,000 on their bill last year.
It’s shameful that Greenville is worried too much about its image, wrestling program, baseball, etc. The focus should be on the future, the 6 year olds who are the future of Greenville.
So, I agree with Mr. Stoll and the other parents whose kids have to walk that distance. Yeah, Greenville schools approved a millage extension in 2011, and if reworked there should be a way to help the kids. One life is worth more than the school or town’s image.
