Santa Claus is coming to town — including just about each and every town in Montcalm County and surrounding areas. Many local Christmas-themed events will be taking place in December. All festivities are community-oriented and free.

Though fashions and style change over the years, the problems faced by teens haven’t really changed that much. A group of Greenville High School teens give us a glimpse of what life was like only a few generations ago with their presentation of “Grease.”

Like the brew in a witch’s cauldron, the Montcalm Community College fall drama class production is a mixture of a little bit of this and a pinch of that. “Old MacBeth Had a Farm” is a combination of Shakespeare’s character MacBeth, Colonel Sanders of Kentucky Fried Chicken and many other interesting characters.

Some people go all out for the holidays — decorating their homes from floor to ceiling, putting time, money, hard work and more into creating the perfect holiday atmosphere. Some people may be discouraged when it comes to decking their halls and not know how to begin, however.
