LETTER: Silent Auction a success

Dear Editor,

Sheridan Community Hospital (SCH) has many people to thank regarding its year-end Silent Auction fundraiser. But first, here’s how the event played out.

In November, about 120 SCH staff and community members, medical team members and volunteers attended SCH’s Silent Auction fund-raiser and together raised $9,758. These funds have been added to the Tree of Lights year-end campaign, which has a minimum goal of $40,000 by Dec. 31. One hundred percent of these funds will go to benefit the many patients Sheridan Community Hospital serves.

The entire three-day event was truly a great staff and community mixer. The crowds seemed to enjoy the many auction items on display and showed tremendous enthusiasm and excitement with their auction bidding.
We sincerely thank all the many auction item donors, bidders and bid winners for helping to make SCH’s auction fundraiser a huge success.  Additionally, we thank our five corporate and event sponsors: B&G Biomedical Sales & Service, Employee Benefit Services, Pension Trend, one anonymous contributor and John Marshall DDS, as they helped make the fundraiser a really great event.

SCH’s Silent Auction committee joins with the entire SCH family in hoping you have a peaceful and blessed holiday season and wishes you health and happiness in 2012.
