LAKEVIEW — Two women were injured in an accident on M-46 in Lakeview on Wednesday afternoon.

A Lakeview police officer reported the accident to Montcalm County Central Dispatch around 12:15 p.m. in front of the Mobil gas station and Dollar General on M-46 just east of M-91.

Lakeview Police Chief Darin Dood said the accident happened when a Dodge Dynasty driven by Maxine Edgerly, in her 80s, from Lakeview, was heading east on M-46 when she turned left into the Mobil and Dollar General driveway in front of a westbound Dodge Neon driven by Morgan Saxton, in her 30s, from Mount Pleasant.
