JUST IN: Sparta rallies in fourth to beat Redskins 43-34
BELDING — The Sparta Spartans girls basketball team got hot at the right time while the Belding Redskins got cold at the wrong time.
The Spartans, trailing 31-30, outscored the Redskins 13-3 in the fourth quarter for a 43-34 O-K Blue Conference win on Friday night.
The Redskins were led by sophomore Stefanie Harig with a game-high 20 points. McKenzie Breimayer added seven points for the Redskins.
Sparta improved to 7-2 overall and 2-1 in the league. The Redskins dropped to 1-5 overall and 1-2 in the league.
Belding will host Ionia on Tuesday night.
