SHERIDAN – After a brief discussion about the condemned Carnation building during Tuesday night’s Sheridan Village Council meeting, it appears the wheels are slowly turning if effort to officially demolition the property.

Council members agreed to pursue a $400,000 Brownfield Authority Grant through the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) which would create a three step process to eventually demolish the building and clean up any contamination on the property.

The facility, which was built in 1930 and ceased operations in 1975, sits on the corner of Condensory Road and M-66.
