GREENVILLE — Local author Pamela Bush is signing copies of her third novel on Saturday.
The event is from 10 a.m. to noon Saturday at Robbin’s Booklist in Greenville.
Her newest book, “Out of the Mire,” is the latest in her Whirlwind series, which was inspired by her struggle with why bad things happen to good people and where God was in all of it.
“One of the things I enjoy most about writing is the power of creating characters and watching those characters evolve into live personalities,” Bush said. “I also have a strong desire to use fiction to touch lives in powerful ways through the means of godly principles in a way that the readers can relate to and learn from.”
She began to study the Old Testament book of Job and created “Out of the Whirlwind.”
“Out of the Mire” follows her second novel, “Out of the Snare,” and continues the story of characters Quaid and Abigail, also known as Sydney.
“Many of my readers approached me about wanting to know their love story,” Bush said. “So that’s what I gave them, with a kidnapping tossed in to keep it more interesting.”
Although “Out of the Whirlwind” and “Out of Snare” take place at different locations throughout Michigan, “Out of the Mire” is completely set in the Petoskey area.
Bush said all three of the books are called stand-alone sequels and can be purchased directly from her site at www.pamelabushauthor.com.
“Out of the Whirlwind” and “Out of the Snare” also can be purchased at Amazon.com, Barnes & Noble and Robbin’s Booklist in Greenville.
