BELDING — Julie Kohn and Caitlin Ingraham are the new owners of Artistic Attitudes beauty salon.
The mother-daughter duo took over ownership Jan. 1, purchasing the business from Amber Rood, who operated the salon for almost four years.
Kohn has more than 20 years of cosmetology experience. Ingraham, 20, is attending Mid-Michigan Community College in Mount Pleasant, earning a degree in physical therapy. She is in her third year.
“At 20, it’s a great opportunity for me and it’s been very exciting,” Ingraham said.
The owners have kept the business’ name but refurbished the salon, located in the Covered Village mall, adding new carpet and wood flooring and repainting.
Artistic Attitudes, at 220 Covered Village, offers massages, pedicures and manicures as well as all hair services.
The staff includes Jennifer Patten, Tanya Shafer, Dena Shotko, Julie Spencer, Jane Moore, Tiffany Summers and Marianne Nickel.
