EUREKA TOWNSHIP — Two people were taken to Spectrum Health United Hospital after four vehicles collided south of Greenville.
The accident was reported just after 11:15 a.m. in front of Brad’s Cleaners at 9410 S. Greenville Road (M-91).
A northbound Buick Rendezvous rear-ended a Chevy Cavalier that was waiting to turn left into the plaza just south of the Eureka Township Hall, according to Montcalm County Sheriff’s Deputy Nick McConnell.
The Cavalier was pushed into the southbound lane, where it hit a minivan nearly head-on. The minivan was pushed into the northbound lane, where it was then struck by a Nissan Murano traveling north.
“The people in the first two vehicles are fine,” McConnell said.
The drivers of the Murano and the minivan were taken to the hospital for treatment. Their injuries do not appear to be life threatening.
Traffic was tied up in the area for about an hour.
The Montcalm County Sheriff’s Office, Greenville Department of Public Safety, Montcalm County Emergency Medical Services and Life EMS Ambulance were on the scene.
McConnell said citations will be give to some of the drivers.
