FENWICK — No one was seriously injured after a vehicle lost control Thursday night on M-66 near Snows Lake Road striking a second vehicle.

At 11:31 p.m. the Montcalm County Sheriff’s Department responded to a two-car accident involving three passengers.

Justine Bollinger, 25, of Orleans, was driving a 2010 Dodge vehicle southbound with one rear passenger on M-66 when she lost control of her vehicle, which spun around backward crossing into the northbound lane.

Her car struck a 2007 Chrysler Pacifica driven by Dean Poppy, 64, of Sheridan, who was driving northbound.

Sgt. Steve Russell said Bollinger was driving too fast for conditions, which were “pretty nasty and snowy.”

Everyone was wearing seat-belts with Bollinger’s rear passenger buckled in a child seat. Alcohol was not a factor.

Bollinger and her passenger were transported to Spectrum Health United Memorial Hospital in Greenville and Poppy was transported to Sheridan Community Hospital, all treated for minor injuries.

The Sheridan Community Fire Department assisted on the scene.
