A high school class at Greenville Public Schools (GPS) is gathering information generated by the school’s solar panels to help prepare for the future. Brian Sullivan, a biology and natural resources teacher at the high school, took his sixth-hour students on the roof to analyze how the solar panels work.

Gowen resident David White has been decorating his home for the holidays for 12 years — he calls it his passion. But if you were to ask someone who has visited the White residence anytime after dark this holiday season, they will more than likely tell you his passion to decorate has created a unique spectacle of lights and music worth paying to see.

Love, dedication and care is what went into the remodeling of the Spectrum Health United Hospital Rehabilitation and Nursing Center, formerly named the Long Term Care Unit. Through a generous donation to the Spectrum Health United Memorial Foundation by the late Ray and Mary Tower, Spectrum Health United Hospital in Greenville was able to remodel the center from top to bottom.

The Education Foundation of Greenville will be adding another leg to the OUR3 Capital Campaign. The OUR3 Capital Campaign is a $1 million endowment to ensure funding for the performing arts program, programs for academically ambitious students and now athletes at Greenville Public Schools.
