Stanton teenager arrested for ‘window peeping’
DOUGLASS TOWNSHIP — A 17-year-old from Stanton is in custody for disorderly conduct and “window peeping” after fleeing from a home in the 2700 block of West Cannonsville Road.
Montcalm County Sheriff’s deputies responded to a prowler call at 11:22 p.m. Saturday. The homeowner reported two subjects fleeing from the scene.
Footprints in the area led into the woods north of the Douglass Township residence.
The Montcalm County Sheriff’s K-9 team tracked the subjects through the woods to Nevins Road where they were intercepted by a State Police detective.
The 17-year-old was arrested and transported to the Montcalm County Jail and is pending arraignment.
The second subject was turned over to his parents as he is a juvenile.
