STANTON — Ionia and Montcalm counties hired and then lost a new 4-H coordinator, all in the same week.

Pat Dignum, a 4-H educator in the Michigan State University (MSU) Extension Office in Stanton, introduced new 4-H coordinator Justin Selden to the Montcalm County Board of Commissioners on Feb. 27. Selden was set to coordinate 4-H activities part-time in each county.

However, Selden almost immediately accepted another job with SeaGrant through MSU Extension in Macomb County.

Dignum said she anticipates a new Ionia-Montcalm coordinator will start March 27.
