GREENVILLE — Just in time for St. Patrick’s Day, the Greenville-based Celtic band Peat in the Creel has released a new CD album called “The Barn Session.”

Peat in the Creel formed last July and includes Alison Myers (flute, whistle, vocals), Paul Rose (percussion), Toby Bresnahan (guitar, bouzouki, mandolin and vocals), all of Greenville, and Bill Nieusma (fiddle, mandolin) of Caledonia.

The band is a high-energy, traditional Celtic group with worldly flavors from Spain, Scotland, Ireland, England and early-Americana. The album was recorded in an Old World barn last December.

The band is planning to make a DVD, as well, which is expected to be available soon.
