It is that time of year again for the annual Belding Band Follies at Belding High School (BHS). Come support the Belding band program at 7 p.m. today and Friday in the Belding High School auditorium as the BHS Band performs the annual Band Follies show.

On a cool Wednesday evening under the lights of Rudness Field at Belding High School (BHS), 105 students gathered motionless, waiting for a signal. After a few brief seconds of silence, the students broke from their frozen stance and began striding across the field. The sound of music quickly ripped through the crisp cool air, bouncing off nearby houses and echoing into the streets of Belding. While most students were by now at home enjoying dinner or relaxing, members of the Belding High School Marching Band had officially started work.

The music of marching bands will float over Belding on Saturday as the 11 different bands from the region converge for the Belding Marching Band Invitational at Rudness Field.

When Belding High School junior Cody Van Buren was able to pick out one of four brand new baritone horns to play in the Belding High School Symphonic Band, he looked at the situation with a new sense of pride.
