SHERIDAN — The Sheridan Lions Club will host a variety show as its annual fundraising event to help raise money for the club’s philanthropies.

The variety show, which is 8 p.m. tonight and Saturday at the Sheridan Community Center, has a western theme for all to enjoy, said Lions Club Secretary Richard Langin.

The Lions Club is a service organization that has philanthropies both locally and globally.

“We have been receiving a lot of requests lately for eye exams and glasses,” Langin said. “100 percent of the profit will go to the Lion Club to help fund these.”

Langin said the variety show is the club’s biggest fundraising event of the year, which helps them supply the community with their needs.

The show will feature Langin, the Barber Shoppers of Gratiot County, Country Green Band, the Lone Ranger and more.

Admission, which is $3 per person, along with money raised from ads taken out by local businesses, will all go back to the Lion Club.

Langin said they would like to thank everyone who has donated to the cause.
