MORLEY — Five people were injured in a two-car accident Tuesday morning on U.S. 131 near Morley.
According to the Mecosta County Sheriff’s Office, the accident occurred at 7:40 a.m. at U.S. 131 and Jefferson Road.
Kristy Crusan of Morley was getting on U.S. 131 southbound when her vehicle lost control and went through the median of the ramp. Crusan’s vehicle flipped, striking another vehicle driven by Terry Reeves of Mecosta. Reeves’ vehicle went off the roadway and into a ditch.
Reeves and his wife, Beatrice Reeves, were taken to Spectrum Health Butterworth Hospital in Grand Rapids for their injuries.
Crusan and her passengers, Aaron Crusan and Lexi Crusan, were taken to Mecosta County Medical Center in Big Rapids for their injuries. The hospital declined to confirm their injury status this morning.
Terry Reeves is on the Governing Board for the Drug Free Montcalm Coalition and manages the J&H Family Store gas station on M-46 north of Howard City.
According to information DFM Coalition Coordinator Lynn Cooper received from one of Reeves’ employees, Terry Reeves has several broken vertebrae and Beatrice Reeves has cuts and bruises and may have broken vertebrae as well. They are both in stable condition, according to the employee.
Terry Reeves is an active member of the Panhandle Chamber of Commerce and previously served as president.

Mecosta County deputies were assisted at the scene by Morley Fire & Rescue, Mecosta-Austin Rescue, Mecosta County Posse and Mecosta County Emergency Medical Services.
