Greenville police ask residents to lock doors after multiple larcenies

GREENVILLE – The Greenville Department of Public Safety (GDPS) is investigating multiple larcenies from vehicles between Tuesday night and Wednesday morning.

The GDPS received five reports of larcenies from vehicles. The thefts occurred during the night and involved unlocked vehicles.

Electronic equipment and personal items such as navigational units, purses and jewelry were stolen.

The GDPS has not developed any suspects at this time, but continues to investigate. They are asking residents to remove any personal and portable electronic items from vehicles and secure the doors.

Also, they are asking residents to report any suspicious people or vehicles in the neighborhood.

The larceny locations included:

• 400 block of Market Street.

• 500 block of E. Coffren Street.

• 1,000 block of N. Edgewood Street.

• 500 block of Market Street.

• 700 block of N. Edgewood Street.
