Woman located after possibly fleeing domestic/suicidal situation in Langston

LANGSTON — A woman has been located after Montcalm County Sheriff’s Deputies  received information that a female subject was possibly armed with a handgun and possibly barricaded in a pole barn Sunday afternoon.

Montcalm County Sheriff’s Deputies responded to a residence in Langston regarding a domestic/suicidal situation at 12:24 p.m.

Deputies searched the scene and were unable to locate the suspect.

The Deputies then conducted a ground search and used a Sheriff’s K-9 team from Ionia County to assist in tracking the female.

Notification was sent to neighbors giving the description of the suspect.

During the investigation, deputies learned that the suspect had fled the scene in a vehicle which was parked near the residence.

Deputies located the suspect at a residence in Ionia County.

The suspect was interviewed and further investigation continues.
