Teens arrested, hospitalized after consuming alcohol
GREENVILLE — Two teens were arrested and two others were transported to the hospital after officers responded on a medical run of a 15-year-old who was incoherent and having difficulty breathing.
Officers with the Greenville Department of Public Safety responded to the 300 block of Washington Street on Wednesday at 9:19 p.m.
The officers discovered four intoxicated youths inside a residence, two of which were unconscious from alcohol consumption.
According to Greenville Department of Public Safety Director Mike Pousak, two 17-year-old teens were arrested for “minor consuming alcohol” and two juveniles, ages 16 and 15, were transported to Spectrum Health United Memorial Hospital and their parents were notified.
Officers conducted a follow-up investigation and were able to locate and interview the person who supplied the alcohol.
The incident has been sent to the Montcalm County Prosecutor’s Office for review.
