GREENVILLE — The Greenville Department of Public Safety responded to a structure fire Wednesday morning.
Greenville Department of Public Safety Director Mike Pousak said they received a call about smoke coming from a bungalow-style home at 921 Lake St. in Greenville.
The smoke appeared to be in the upper bedroom and attic area.
When firefighters arrived, flames were coming from the roof, Pousak said.
“The fire pretty much contained itself in the roof,” Pousak said.
The firefighters were able to set up near a fire hydrant and knock the fire down.
No one was hurt during the fire. Pousak said the fire appears to be electrical.
The Belding Fire Department assisted Greenville during the blaze.
Pousak said crews remained on scene for about three hours to ensure the fire was out. He estimates about $10,000 to $20,000 worth of damage was done to the house.
