CARSON CITY — The Carson City-Crystal Area Schools Foundation has donated $600 to Carson City-Crystal High School 10th grader Hope Miller toward a drama/acting experience at Blue Lake Fine Arts Camp this summer.

Miller has been acting in plays and skits for years and has performed in school plays.

She is the daughter of David and Nan Miller of Hubbardston.

Hope writes, “…thanks to you (the Foundation), you made my dreams come true. Without your generous donation I wouldn’t be able to experience this great adventure this summer.”

The Foundation’s goal is to receive and administer funds for the benefit of the students and community of Carson City-Crystal Area Schools by purchasing educational supplies and facility enhancements.

“The Foundation is able to raise money for great things such as this through fundraisers like the Foundation’s Annual golf outing,” said Foundation President Nancy Seals. “Hope’s request was very impressive and on behalf of the entire Board of the Foundation we wish Hope a very successful and rewarding experience.”

The Foundation’s 4th annual golf outing will be 9 a.m. Aug. 17 at Huckleberry Creek Golf Course in Pewamo.

For more information about the Foundation, call Seals at (989) 584-3971 ext. 379 or stop by the Carson City-Crystal Area Schools Central Office at 115 E Main St. in Carson City.
