Greenville man arrested for Kent County thefts
MONTCALM TOWNSHIP — Charles Lambert Wright, 50, of Greenville, was arrested Monday after investigators from the Kent County Sheriff’s Office discovered stolen property at a home near Turk Lake in Montcalm Township.
While recovering the stolen property, detectives met with Wright and found out he possessed firearms, despite having a past criminal history that prohibited him from owning guns.
The stolen property was from a rash of thefts from Kent County storage units.
Wright was arraigned Monday and is charged with possessing stolen property, being a felon in possession of firearms, and felony firearms.
The arrest came as a result of an investigation originating from the Kent County Sheriff’s Office.
