Howard City police searching for indecent exposure suspect

HOWARD CITY — Police are searching for an indecent exposure suspect and are asking for the public’s help.

According to Howard City Police Chief Steve DeWitt, the suspect is a white male in his late 20s with brownish shaggy hair to his shoulders, a goatee and a skinny build.

The suspect possibly drives a white Ford Taurus. A photo of the suspect’s vehicle was taken at Leppink’s parking lot in Howard City. The vehicle drove from the east on M-82 into the parking lot.

The first incident of indecent exposure reportedly took place around 7:45 a.m. July 31 at the corner of Lake Montcalm Road and Maple Hill Road in Reynolds Township. The suspect was wearing his hair in a ponytail. He left the scene at a high speed, westbound on Lake Montcalm Road.

The second incident of indecent exposure was reported June 12 north of Amble in Winfield Township. The Michigan State Police responded to that call.
