GREENVILLE — Catherine Annette Janse died Wednesday. Cremation has taken place. There will be a celebration of her life at 3:30 p.m. Aug. 18 for all family and friends at 12205 Hart Road, Greenville.

GREENVILLE — Caroline Virginia (Yonker) Newland, 85 of Gowen, died Monday.
Friends and family are invited to meet for a luncheon to celebrate Carol’s life from 1 to 5 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 25, at the Spencer Township Hall, 14960 Meddler Ave. NE, Gowen.

Summer temperatures in Michigan have been soaring off the chart.
People need to think about themselves, loved ones and pets when it comes to staying cool.
According to WZZM TV 13’s weather forecast, today could set a record-breaking high as one of the hottest days yet in the ongoing heat wave with temperatures reaching as high as 110 degrees.
