The Sheridan Lions Club will host a variety show as its annual fundraising event to help raise money for the club’s philanthropies. The variety show, which is 8 p.m. tonight and Saturday at the Sheridan Community Center, has a western theme for all to enjoy, said Lions Club Secretary Richard Langin.

State Rep. Rick Outman, R-Six Lakes, is struggling with whether to support a bill that would increase the number charter schools in Michigan. Outman discussed the bill, which would remove the current cap on the number of charter schools, at Monday’s Legislative Luncheon at Montcalm Community College.
