GRAND RAPIDS — The new O-K Bronze held its first conference tournament on Wednesday at Boulder Creek Golf Course in Grand Rapids.

The tournament, hosted by Northview, was won by Forest Hills Eastern with a score of 333. The Yellow Jackets were second with 357.

“I knew this was going to be a contest between Greenville and Forest Hills Eastern,” Greenville coach Nancy Johnson said. “I continue to be optimistic that our Lady Jackets will battle hard as we play our jamborees in this conference.”

Forest Hills Northern was third with 395.

Greenville senior Britta Bernth shot a 79 to earn match medalist honors.

“Britta came through with match medalist honors and is showing the confidence that she will take her place among the top players across the state,” Johnson said.

Jessica Bohner shot 83, Lauryn Day 91 and Karli Didion 104.

“We are still looking for that fourth player to step out and solidify who our top four will be in this race for the championship,” Johnson said.

The Yellow Jackets play next on Monday at Cedar Chase Golf Course at noon.
