Daughter threatens mother with gardening scissors in Crystal Township

CRYSTAL TOWNSHIP — A 19-year-old woman broke into her mother’s home and threatened her with gardening scissors while intoxicated Thursday.

Montcalm County Sheriff’s deputies responded to the resident’s home on Main Street in Crystal Township after it was reported the 19-year-old refused to leave her mother’s home.

The woman gained entry into the home through a window with a pair of gardening scissors. She began to make threatening gestures with the scissors toward her mother and a fight began.

The mother was able to get the scissors away from her daughter as deputies arrived.

No one was seriously injured.

The woman was arrested for felonious assault and outstanding warrants.

She is lodged at the Montcalm County Jail in Stanton awaiting arraignment.
