Here are Daily News multimedia reporter Cory Smith’s highlights from Friday’s Belding-Greenville football game.
Included in this piece is a time-lapse video from a camera that was perched atop the roof of the concession stand building at Legacy Field between about 5 p.m. to about 10 p.m. It shows the new stadium filling up, game action and the finishes with fireworks and festivities after the game.

Cory is a hometown kid, having graduated from Greenville High School in 2004. A name has been chosen to stand the test of time and one that can be passed down from generation to generation. The new Greenville football stadium officially will be named Legacy Field. “Legacy makes a lot of sense,” said Superintendent Pete Haines.

The Greenville Public Schools Board of Education received a recommendation from the policy committee to name the new stadium. The Greenville High School student council, athletic department and administration received more than 180 submissions for names of the new football stadium and athletic complex.
