GREENVILLE — The Great Lakes Buckskin Association (GLBA) has an all-breed horse show set for 9 a.m. both Saturday and Sunday at the Montcalm County 4-H Fairgrounds.

The GLBA is a family friendly, youth oriented group. While being a show where points can be earned on your registered IBHA (International Buckskin Horse Association), it also is an open show. The horse doesn’t  have to be registered.

The cost per class is $10, and the cost per judge remains consistent with other shows in the area at $5 a judge per class because our shows are double judged. For owners looking to gain points, double judging allows them that opportunity but it also provides two perspectives to the youth seeking to learn more and polish both their showmanship and horsemanship skills.

The relaxed and friendly atmosphere of the show day continues through the potluck dinner Saturday night. 4-H’ers are welcome, whether it’s to show one day, both, or to just haul in for the speed competition at the end of the day.

Visit the GLBA website, www.glbahorse.com for pictures of our last two shows, the facilities, entry forms and a showbill.
