Deputy Justin Schafer said a driver of a black Kia was pulling out of a driveway at 11216 M-91 when it struck a southbound tan van.

“The driver failed to yield to oncoming traffic,” Schafer said.

The female passenger of the Kia complained of back problems and was taken to Spectrum Health United Hospital in Greenville.

Both drivers were uninjured, Schafer said.

The accident is still under investigation. Schafer did not know if a citation would be given until the investigation is completed.

M-91 was shut down and reopened just before 6:30 p.m.

The Montcalm County Sheriff’s Office was assisted by Montcalm County Medical Services, Advance Life Support, Greenville Department of Public Safety and Captain Hook towing company.
