Howard City police searching for hit-and-run vehicle

HOWARD CITY — Police are searching for a vehicle involved in a hit-and-run between Saturday night and Sunday morning on Shaw Street in downtown Howard City.

The vehicle left a lot of debris behind, indicating it is most likely a 1991 to 1996 gold-colored Buick Park Avenue/LeSabre.

The vehicle will probably have a broken side window, broken passenger mirror and damage to both front and back plastic bumpers.

Police are searching for an indecent exposure suspect and are asking for the public’s help. According to Howard City Police Chief Steve DeWitt, the suspect is a white male in his late 20s with brownish shaggy hair to his shoulders, a goatee and a skinny build.

The Howard City Police Department is searching for a suspect after a homeowner witnessed someone stealing new truck tires Monday. The suspect’s vehicle is described as a full size, “fire engine red,” very clean pickup truck, possibly with an extended cab. The truck was driven by a a white male in his 50s. The vehicle was last seen towing a very clean white car dolly.

Couple injured in U.S. 131 accident, police searching for second vehicle

A Reed City couple was injured in an accident Saturday afternoon on U.S. 131. Montcalm County Sheriff’s deputies responded to the accident at 3 p.m. on southbound U.S. 131 south of Cutler Road in Reynolds Township.

Scott Michael Gregory, a 25-year-old Howard City man, died at the scene after being struck by a vehicle early this morning.
Montcalm County Sheriff’s deputies responded to a vehicle vs. pedestrian accident at 2:28 a.m. on West Edgerton Street in Howard City.
