Stolen vehicle located, meth components found inside

MAPLE VALLEY TOWNSHIP — Montcalm County Sheriff’s Deputies located a stolen vehicle on Paepke Road near McBride Road, late Sunday evening.

An initial investigation shows the stolen vehicle, a four-door 2000 Kia Sportage, had been reported stolen to Howard City Police on Sept. 17.

Deputies located several components used for making methamphetamine inside the vehicle.

Deputies also located prescription drugs and a stolen license plate.

Detectives from the Central Michigan Enforcement Team responded to the scene to conduct a hazardous waste cleanup.

Suspects have been identified and arrest warrants are pending. Deputies were also assisted by the Howard City Police Department.
