FH Northern 3, Greenville 0: The Huskies topped the Yellow Jackets in O-K Bronze play on Tuesday night. Northern won 25-20, 25-20, 25-13. Megan O’Brien had 20 assists, Leah Somerfield nine kills and Beth Gantz added two aces. Quote: “Forest Hills Northern ran a very fast offense that was too quick for our defense to keep up with.” — Greenville coach Amy Rupno. Records: 28-8-4, 3-3. Next match: at home Thursday against Northview.


Belding 2, Allendale 0: The Redskins picked up an O-K Blue Conference win Tuesday when they beat the Falcons at home. Chris Ornelas and Jason Tovar had the goals for Belding, both unassisted. Chase Bower was credited with the shutout, making 15 saves in goal. Records: 4-9 and 3-7. Next game: at Sparta next Tuesday.

Northview 8, Greenville 0: The Yellow Jackets fell to O-K Bronze rival Northview on Tuesday night 8-0. Austin Harms scored twice for the Wildcats. Kyle Smith made 12 saves for Greenville. Next match: at Cedar Springs on Thursday.


Greenville 14th at Seaholm: The Yellow Jackets faced some stiff competition at the Birmingham Seaholm Invitaitonal Monday, finishing 14th out of 20 teams at the tournament with a 389 team score. That was well behind Grosse Pointe South’s 332. Greenville’s top scorers were Britta Bernth with an 83, Jessica Bohner with a 95, Lauryn Day with a 97 and both Karli Didion and Taylor Hansen with 114 each. Next match: at the Ernie Popiel Invitational at Grand Rapids Forest Hills Northern today.
