CC-Crystal 36, Potterville 0: The Eagles put the running clock on their former CMAC foes Friday night, scoring all of their points after a scoreless first quarter. Arron Haines scored twice in the second quarter, Logan Forist ran in a touchdown and caught one from Garner Cusack and Hunter Clark got the last score of the game. Haines finished with 14 carries for 176 yards, part of 353 yards rushing. Cusack hit only the pass to Forist for 53 yards on two attempts. Record: 7-2. Next: in the playoffs next weekend.

Greenville 46, FH Eastern 13: Carter Stephens had a career night for the Jackets in the final O-K Bronze Conference game of the season, scoring five touchdowns, with four of those rushing. Kyle Swindell and Cory Zimmerman added touchdowns for Greenville. Stephens finished with 14 carries for 193 yards and made two receptions for 125 yards. Brennan Ramirez added 15 carries for 67 yards. Quarterback Curtis Heppe was 8-of-9 for 236 yards. Records: 4-5 and 2-3. Next: Greenville’s season is over.

Wyoming 50, Belding 14: The Redskins were mercied by the Wolves in the final game of the regular season for both teams Friday night. Belding’s touchdowns were a one-yard run by Kole Hart and a 35-yard run from Michael Walker. Walker led the Redskins with 13 runs for 79 yards, while Brendan Zuver added seven carries for 52 yards and three receptions for 29 yards. Records: 2-7 and 1-5. Next: Belding’s season is over.

Hesperia 19, Central Montcalm 13: The Green Hornets ended the regular season on a down note after losing to the Panthers Friday night. Central got a seven-yard touchdown run from Keagan James and a safety in the second quarter, then Leo Allonge added a 39-yard field goal in the fourth quarter that temporarily gave them the lead. Austin Edwards led the Hornets in rushing with 11 carries for 53 yards and James added 13 carries for 52 yards. The defensive leader was Lucas Emmons with 12 tackles. Record: 2-7. Next: Central’s season is over.

Perry 31, Montabella 20: The Mustangs lost their final game of the season to the Ramblers in a non-conference game Friday night. Logan Burns had two touchdowns and Chase Murray added a 25-yard reception for a score from Brady Burggren. Burns led the rushing with 18 carries for 67 yards, Murray had six receptions for 85 yards and Burggren was 14-of-23 for 142 yards passing. Record: 3-6. Next: Montabella’s season is over.

Merrill 28, Vestaburg 8: The Wolverines managed only a Dewayme McKinney reception from Austin Meyers against the Vandals Friday night to lose their final regular-season game. Christian Benavidez had seven rushes for 55 yards, seven receptions for 52 yards and tied with Jared Stratton for the team high in tackles with 12. Record: 6-3. Next: in the playoffs next weekend.

Volleyball

Greenville 3, West Catholic 0: The Yellow Jackets topped the Falcons on Thursday in the final O-K Bronze match of the season. Greenville won 25-23, 25-22, 25-13. Leah Somerfield had 18 kills and six blocks, Kylee Moody had 13 digs and two aces and Megan O’Brien had 29 assists. Record: 34-11-5 (5-4). Next match: at home Oct. 31 vs. the winner of Rockford/Northview in the Class A district semifinals.

White Cloud 3, Lakeview 1: The Indians topped the Wildcats on Thursday night in CSAA action. White Cloud won 25-5, 16-25, 25-13, 25-13. Quote: “We started out pretty rough, but managed to come back and play really good in the second game. White Cloud played well and they have some really good hitters.” — Lakeview coach Tammy Dey. Next match: at Big Rapids Wednesday.
