HOWARD CITY — A 26-year-old Howard City man was found dead last week, and the cause is currently unknown.
According to Howard City Police Chief Steve DeWitt, the man was found Oct. 17 in his apartment in the 300 block of Pine Street in Howard City. The man was located by someone who arrived at the apartment to do some routine work inside.
DeWitt said the cause of death does not appear to be self-inflicted or related to illegal drugs. The toxicology report is still pending.
“There are some health issues, but at this time it is unknown if the health issues contributed to the death,” DeWitt said. “There is no cause for alarm as this is not considered foul play at this time, just an unexplained death.”
The man’s name is not being released at this time.
