MONTCALM TOWNSHIP — The Montcalm Township Board welcomed new trustees with coffee and cake, while saying goodbye to those leaving.
A short agenda at Wednesday night’s meeting allowed time for township residents to get in on the fun and talk with the board after the meeting.
“This isn’t for me, it’s for the trustees,” said newly re-elected Supervisor Michael Adams.
Wednesday’s meeting marked the last meeting for trustees Ron Price and Tom Smith and the announcement of new trustees Steve Sprague and Steve Hole.
“I was sincere when I said it has been great working with the both of you,” Adams said to Price and Smith during the meeting. “I hope you both find a way to stay involved.”
Price and Smith said their time on the board has been a good experience.
“I appreciate the work that has been done,” Price said of how hard the board has worked.
Smith “echoed” Price’s statement and gave thanks to Adams.
“You did a good job, Mike,” Smith said. “I learned a lot and I am going to miss it.”
Although Hole was not present at the township board meeting Wednesday, Sprague was in attendance and was well accepted by township residents.
