GREENVILLE – Two businesses were victimized by thieves early Saturday morning on M-91 on the north side of Greenville.

Magnum Sports owner Kevin Martin said vehicles in his parking lot were broken into between 4 and 4:30 a.m.

“The vehicles were locked,” Martin said. “They shot them out with a pellet gun.”

Martin said video surveillance captured a person committing the crime. The person stole several items from both vehicles, then trashed the vehicles.

Magnum Sports was not broken into itself. The store specializes in sporting goods and offers a 12-lane indoor gun range, 40-yard indoor archery range, techno hunt and dart system features.

“We’ve barred everything and we’ve got pretty good security and alarms,” Martin said.

Petersen Oil & Propane also sustained a breaking and entering at the business itself.

The Michigan State Police Lakeview Post is investigating both incidents.
