RONALD TOWNSHIP – A Greenville man was killed Sunday morning after his vehicle exited the road and struck a tree.

Ionia County sheriff’s officials responded to a personal injury accident at Van Vleck Road and Allan Road in Ronald Township. Upon arrival, deputies located one vehicle that had struck a tree.

Investigation revealed that Jason Scott Schreiner, 35, was traveling westbound on Van Vleck Road and failed to follow the roadway, which went to the south. Upon exiting the roadway, Schreiner’s vehicle struck a tree.

Schreiner was killed on impact.

The accident remains under investigation. Heavy fog in the area may have been a factor in the accident.
