GREENVILLE — Employees from the Montcalm Area Intermediate School District (MAISD) business office recently were recognized for their hard work and dedication.
MAISD Superintendent Scott Koenigsknecht presented a certificate from the Office of Retirement Services to Deb Kraft, Marilyn Rosenberger and Teresa Scheese, all of whom helped MAISD employees with retirement information.
Koenigsknecht said because of new legislation, work needed to be done to get employees on a computer system that would help them pick a plan that was best for them.
Because of the dedication from Kraft, Rosenberger and Scheese to assist employees who needed help, Koenigsknecht said more than 89 percent of the employees are up and running on the system.
“The state average was 75 percent,” he said.
Because the MAISD percentage was high, the Office of Retirement Services not only sent a certificate recognizing the three women, but a check for $848 to the MAISD.
Associate Superintendent of Finance Ron Simon said it is difficult for schools to get 100 percent on this project because it also includes substitute teachers who may have only worked at the school once or twice in the past year.
“They did a great job assisting the staff,” Simon said of the women. “Hats off to (them).”
