CC-Crystal 58, Ashley 41: The Eagles won their second game of the season with a road victory against the Bears on Thursday night.. Brann Schmitt led the Eagles with 20 points. Grant Gage added 12 points and Arron Haines 11 points. A great first half led the Eagles to a 31-15 lead at the break. Record: 2-1. Next game: at home Tuesday against Belding.

Newaygo 54, Lakeview 48: The Wildcats lost a close CSAA contest to the Lions on Thursday night. Shawn Lindsey led the Wildcats with 17 points. Caleb Ruvalcaba added 10 points, while Jon Wandel and Brad Hamlin each dropped eight points. Records: 2-3, 1-2. Next game: at home Monday against Chippewa Hills.

Big Rapids 65, Central Montcalm 29: The Hornets were no match for the Cardinals Thursday night on the road. Big Rapids put the game out of reach with a 42-16 first half advantage. Dario Williams led the Cardinals with 12 points. Lane Ledford and J.J. Dulbandzhyan each scored seven points for the Hornets.
