Montabella second at own tourney: The Mustangs scored 184 points in the Mustang Round Robin tournament Saturday, which was good for second behind Chippewa Hills 284 but ahead of Sanford Meridian’s 171. Taking first place in their weight classes was Logan Burns (160 pounds) and Jonny Durham (171). Second-place finishes went to Dustin Scott (119), Quinn Stradtner (125), Tristan Viglianco (130), Joey Durham (152) and Dan Davidson (285). Next match: at home Wednesday against Greenville’s B Team.

Greenville 8th: The Yellow Jackets placed 8th at the Holland Invitational on Saturday. Facing some of the best competition in the state, the Yellow Jackets went 1-3 overall. Greenville won its first match over Fremont 57-9. They lost match two to Division 2 No. 1 rated St. Johns 48-15. Match three was a 39-29 loss to Tecumseh (No. 3 in D-2) and match four was a 39-27 loss to Allegan (4th in D-2). The Yellow Jackets are 8th in Division 2, but did not have a wrestler at 103 pounds and had to void all of those matches.
