WASHINGTON, D.C. — Today, following chemotherapy treatments for non-Hodgkins large B-cell lymphoma, Congressman Dave Camp (R-MI) announced that his doctors have declared him cancer-free.
“I am extremely thankful for the excellent treatment I received from dedicated physicians, nurses and medical staff,” Camp said. “It not only allowed me to become cancer-free, but also sustained me in my work both as the representative of Michigan’s Fourth Congressional District and as chairman of the Ways and Means Committee.
“I want to thank everyone for their many words of encouragement, understanding and prayers,” he added. “My family and I will forever appreciate that support.”
As a follow-up to treatment, Camp will participate in standard and routine medical check-ups.
Camp was successful in his re-election bid against Democrat Debra Freidell Wirth on Nov. 6. The 4th District encompasses Clare, Clinton, Gladwin, Gratiot, Isabella, Mecosta, Midland, Missaukee, Montcalm, Ogemaw, Osceola, Roscommon, Saginaw, Shiawassee and Wexford counties.
