GREENVILLE — A Sheridan man was extracted from his vehicle and hospitalized with non-life threatening injuries Wednesday evening.

The Greenville Department of Public Safety responded to Lafayette Street and Judd Street at about 7:10 p.m. for an accident.

According to Director Michael Pousak, the at-fault driver, a 21-year-old man from Sheridan, entered the intersection from Judd Street and was struck by another vehicle traveling south on Lafayette Street.
“Officers had to remove the driver’s side door of the at-fault vehicle to get the driver out of the car,” Pousak said.

The driver of the other vehicle, a 48-year-old Coral resident, was treated at the scene, but was not transported to the hospital.

“Road and weather conditions played a role in this accident,” Pousak said.
