CARSON CITY — The first baby to be born at Carson Health made a grand entrance at 10:18 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 2.
Bernard and Kristin Lacy of Sheridan are the parents of a boy, Gunnar Michael, who weighed 7 pounds, 6 ounces at birth.
Carson Health staff presented the Lacy family with a gift basket of baby items donated by several hospital departments and community businesses, including Michigan One Community Credit Union, Lola’s Flower Garden, Alley-T, Carson Village Market, Barnes Hardware, the Center for Women’s HealthCare and hospital departments, including Food and Nutrition Services, Infection Prevention, Carson Apothecary and Gift Shoppe, Surgical Services, Information Systems, and Marketing.
“We are so excited to have Gunnar join our family and surprised he was the first baby of 2013 for Carson Health” said Bernard and Kristin Lacy.
Gunnar was delivered by Dr. Erin LeGrand of the Center for Women’s HealthCare.
“It was such a pleasure to be a part of this exciting moment for our hospital and the Lacy family,” LeGrand said. “They are such a nice couple and are so happy to have this baby join their family.”
