HOWARD CITY — A twenty-four-year-old Howard City man has been charged with the death of Scott Michael Gregory, a 25-year-old Howard City man who was killed when struck by a vehicle in July.
Ryan Patrick Bennett was arraigned today and released on bond regarding two felony charges, operating while intoxicated causing death and reckless driving causing death, in connection with the traffic crash that led to Gregory’s death.
Montcalm County Sheriff’s deputies responded to a vehicle vs. pedestrian accident at 2:28 a.m. on West Edgerton Street in Howard City on July 20.
Bennett told deputies he saw the body a few blocks away from his home and proceeded home to advise his father to call 911.
