Belding 39, Wyoming 37: The Redskins earned an O-K Blue conference road win on Wednesday. Belding voided four weight classes, but picked up wins from Nate Cooley (fall at 112), Jesse Scheidel (fall at 125), Aleks Silva (fall at 135), Michael Walker (overtime decision at 152), Blake Rodarmer (fall at 171), Neil McCully (fall at 215) and Todd Haller (fall at 285). Quote: “We made a move in the upper weights that paid off, bumping Neil and Todd up a weight class each. Some of our younger guys wrestled really well and got some bonus points, or kept them from getting extra points. At 152, we got a big one. Michael tied the match up with just a couple seconds on the clock and then got the takedown in overtime for the win. If we lose that match, we lose as a team.” — Belding coach Travis Meyer. Records: 17-6 (4-2). Next match: O-K Blue Conference tournament Friday at Sparta.

Tri County 2-0: The Vikings earned a pair of Lakes 8 wins on Wednesday night at Grant. Tri County topped Fremont 58-17 and Ludington 66-15. Record: 18-8. Quote: “Our guys are wrestling better. We were more aggressive tonight.” — Tri County coach Corey Renner. Next match: at Orchard View Saturday for the conference tournament.
