Girls basketball

Greenville 35, GR Northview 22: The Yellow Jackets held the Wildcats to just 10 points in the first three quarters in an O-K Bronze Conference win Friday night. Megan O’Brien was Greenville’s leading scorer with 10 points, while Taylor Baker and Leah Somerfield added seven each. Katelyn Reynolds had 10 points for the road Wildcats. Greenville bounced back after its first league loss on Tuesday.  Records: 13-3 and 6-1. Next game: at home against Hastings Tuesday.

Reed City 52, Lakeview 41: The Wildcats had a two-game win streak end at the hands of the Coyotes Friday night. Andrea Henry led Lakeview in scoring with 12 points. Records: 10-5 and 8-5. Next game:  at Hesperia Tuesday.

Comstock Park 63, Belding 45: The Redskins lost despite getting 23 of their 45 points from Mackenzie Breimayer. Belding trailed 31-18 at halftime. Greta Wilker added eight. Melaina Bent scored 19 for the Panthers and Alyssa Hendricks added 17. Sara Chumas grabbed 11 rebounds for Comstock Park. Records: 9-8 and 4-4. Next game: at Allendale Tuesday.

Boys basketball

Comstock Park 70, Belding 46: The Polar Bears handed the Redskins their ninth straight loss overall and sixth straight in the O-K Blue Friday night. Kole Hart had 13 points and Brendan Sutherland added 10 for Belding, who scored just four points in the fourth quarter. Sutherland and Hart each had seven rebounds. Ryan Schall led the Panthers with 23 points, while Drake Baar grabbed 11 rebounds for the winners.
